Large Horses:
Large horses
all have heads longer and broader across the brow with larger throats. So, Buckaroo Leather offers large horse headstalls.
Mules:
(information from Horse and Mule Trainer Jerry Tindell)
"Mules are built differently than horses due to the influence of the
donkey. The donkey gives the mule a broader forehead, larger eyes and a wider base at the ears. The average sized horse brow band is typically too short at the base of the ears for the mile, often resulting in pinching. A brow band that isn't long enough can rub or cut back of crown (behind the ears) causing soreness and discomfort for the mule. The throat latch also needs to often be a bit longer too.

It is Eitan Beth Halachmy vision that this be a western discipline that is enhanced by dressage, not ruled by it. The tests are very western. Like the early west the rules are simple and the freedom abundant. It is based on release, not contact. Soft Feel, founded by
great horseman of the past is Cowboy Dressage core. It is the goal of Cowboy Dressage to promote and teach that in a competition atmosphere.
This competition is created for those cowboys and cowgirls who longed for a place to hang your hat and live and ride the western traditions. It is Eitan's hope that each of the participants will embrace this new
division. It offers a place for the "partnership" to be rewarded more than the "maneuver" and the well being of the horse and rider are held in the highest regard. If you ride the trials, the range, the rodeo or the dressage court you have a place to explore and grow with Cowboy Dressage.

Have you all heard that Farah DeJohnette Horsemanship has a new home. It is called Ohana Farm. Buckaroo Leather looks forward to seeing Farah's dreams come to reality.
"For those of you who don't know yet, I have a new home base for FDH! I
have long had a vision for my own place to continue to grow my ability to teach, train, rehabilitate and help horses and their people. The farm is currently undergoing some renovations to make it even better for future Clinics, Workshops, Intensives, Lessons and Training. But really the sky is the limit. I am staying open to all that will find there way to Ohana Farm."...Farah
