Thank you, Mr. Brand and Buckaroo Leather! The quality of your work and the materials you use are second to none. I have purchased numerous items (bridles, chin straps, reins, halters, breast collars, hobbles, latigos, flank
cinches, cinches…). I always buy two… not that I worry about it breaking or wearing out, but because I won’t ride with anything else - if anything ever does happen, I will have my known quality replacement to put on and get back to riding. All these parts and pieces of my tack are there for a purpose and often times that safety. I trust your craftsmanship and love the look and feel of your products. Thank you for creating and sharing them!
My name is Alissa. I’m at least a 4th generation Montanan (the family tree gets tough to follow after that) and I am the 3rd generation in the military. I have the best family - we are lucky to all live in the same town and get together often. I love to fly fish, watch Denver Bronco football, read and travel but my real passion is horses.
My horse’s name is Merle (after Merle Haggard). He’s an 8 year old, 16.3 hand Mustang from the Rock Creek HMA. Merle & I spend a majority of our time trail riding around the state. Our goal next year is to get into the Bob Marshall Wilderness to see the Chinese Wall. We also enjoy helping with cows and attending any clinic we
can. Merle & I are part of the Montana Army National Guard 89th Horse Team. The team wears 1880s uniforms and serves as a mounted honor guard, participates in parades and helps connect the military with the public. Merle and I are also members of the Last Chance Backcountry Horsemen chapter. We enjoy being a small part of keeping trail systems open for all to use. Merle is an all around awesome dude - he has a great personality, very steady, relaxed, and goes all day in the mountains.
He is very sweet but still has a little fire in him. I am very fortunate to have found him to be my adventure partner - couldn’t have made one better! -Alissa
