About Andrea:

Raised on the Central Coast of California, Andrea grew up always having a passion for horses. Although she did not grow up in this industry, her good friend Windy Leonard introduced her to the cowhorse world and training. She then worked for her first cowhorse trainer who taught her a lot about training and the business side of things. Later on she decided to pursue her bachelors degree in Animal Science at California Polytechnic University. She was on the Equestrian Team, and Mule Packing Team. Andrea then transferred to Feather River College to complete her BA in Equine and Ranch Management. While in school, she learned the art of colt starting and developed her horsemanship further by expanding into training performance based horses. After graduation, Andrea worked with more trainers, honing her skills and abilities and developing her own style of training. She now runs a full time training business where she strives to give each horse she trains a fair and honest education to mentally and physically prepare them for their future careers. As a colt starting champion, Andreas goal is to set an example and help other people in this industry that aspire to start young horses under saddle.

My name is Andrea Fraire and I start colts for a living. I was first introduced to Buckaroo Leather Products around 2018 at the Red Bluff Bull and Gelding Sale. I asked John if he could switch out some chicago screws in the front for some leather ties instead. He was able to customize this setup and make it functional to how I needed it to be as someone who works with a lot of young horses. I can’t say enough good things about these products and business.
