This month's featured product is our mane hair mecate. While there are many options for mecates, such as alpaca, nylon yacht rope and even cotton, the traditional, tried and true mecate is made from horse mane or tail hair. While it can feel a little rough at first (gloves always help!), the horse hair does soften over time. Mecates can be used in your hackamore set up, or even with a snaffle and slobber strap set up.
